I am really looking forward to not only showing you around and photographing tigers in Bandhavgarh National Park, India’s best Tiger Park, but also leading the group to Jhalana Leopard Reserve and photographing some of the park’s more than 40 leopards.

Join awards-winning photographer Tom Svensson to Jhalana, India’s first leopard sanctuary and one of the best places in India to photograph leopards. Add to that Bandhavgarh, India’s most tiger-dense national park, with the opportunity to photograph tigers, and you will have a very exciting photo expedition.

India is perhaps best known for its tigers, but its rich wildlife offers so much more than just these felines. On this trip we first visit Jhalana, India’s first reserve for Leopards. There are more than 40 leopards in the reserve, and since the leopard here is the apex predator, the chances of photo opportunities are probably better than anywhere else in India.

After this we travel to Bandhavgarh National Park to photograph its tigers. Bandhavgarh is India’s most tiger-dense park and our visit is in April when the chance to see this mighty feline is at its greatest.

As a bonus, you also get to experience Jaipur in between the safari tours in Jhalana. Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, has a compact city centre and is widely known for its bustling street life. We will also visit Amber Fort which is beautifully situated on the hills on the outskirts of the city.

Tom Svensson is a world known conservation photographer. Toms major driving force in life is conservation, and he travels regularly around the world to document endangered species, anti-poaching and illegal trading of animals. His skill as a photographer is to take pictures that touch people and makes a difference, here is seen as one of the best in the world. Tom is the only Swede elected into the IEPA, the International Environment Photographers Association. He is also a global Manfrotto ambassador and he is also in the Canon Nordic photographers program.
