AMAZING YELLOWSTONE

WITH PHOTOGRAPHER ROGER BRENDHAGEN

Yellowstone is, to me, a nature photographer’s dream. Grizzly bears, majestic elk, magnificent moose, and plenty of bison, often at very close range. All framed by beautiful autumn colors and Yellowstone’s mighty mountain ranges as a backdrop

Roger Brendhagen

We pull over on the roadside and can see something moving among the trees in the slope below. Silently we leave the car with our cameras prepared. Just a few meters from us, a Grizzly bear crosses the road and climbs over the guardrail. It moves quickly towards the river that winds through the vast landscape of Yellowstone National Park. We follow the bear through our lenses, trying not to lose sight of it. Suddenly it turns towards us and stands on the hind legs, almost 10feet tall. All our cameras go off and we get a photo opportunity we will never forget. Only in a few places in the world, wildlife is as easily accessible as here in Yellowstone. Incredible photo opportunities can show up at any time, even when you least expect it.

In the fall of 2025 you will be able to accompany the well known wildlife photographer Roger Brendhagen to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. During a week we explore the fascinating nature of the parks, where wildlife is abundance and we are able to see everything from herds of bison and Wapiti deer to pronghorns, moose and Grizzly bears in a beautiful autumn landscape and if we are really lucky we might even get a glimpse of Gray wolves.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Yellowstone is the largest and oldest national park in the United States, founded in 1872. It stretches across three states Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. World famous for its unique nature with many different landscapes and ecosystems, the park offers a natural and  adventurous land, full of mountains, lush waterfalls and volcanic activity.

One of the largest attractions is the rich wildlife with both Black and Grizzly bears. In Lamar Valley there are also good opportunities to see wolves. Elsewhere in the park you can encounter different kinds of deer. In September the brunt of the deer takes place, which makes them very active. Other animals that can be seen in the park are pronghorns and big herds of bison.

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK

Grand Teton National Park in the state of Wyoming is named after the more than 4,000-foot-high mountain range Grand Teton that borders Yellowstone National Park. Grand Teton offers stunning views of the Teton Mountain Range and the large Jackson Lake. However, it is the wildlife that is show stopper. The park is especially famous for its large Wapiti deer often with twenty pointed antlers, as well as large Black bears and many bison.
