ITINERARY
ITINERARY
JUNE 12-17 2026
NOTE! As the weather in the Alps is highly variable and can change from sunshine to rain in just a few hours, the program may be adjusted on-site. This is to ensure you have the best possible photography opportunities.
Throughout the trip, Angel Fux will be available for photography advice and tips, as well as assistance with image editing and critiques. She will also give presentations and share her approach to photography. Exact times for these will be determined based on the schedule of photo activities and the weather.
DAY 1 (June 12) – ARRIVAL & INTRODUCTION
Meeting point will we in the arrival hall at Toulouse airport at 12.00, where Angel Fux and a host from Zoom Fotoresor will meet you.
From there, you will head directly to the charming village of Cauterets, where we will check in at Garden & City Hotel, which will be our base during our days in the Pyrenees. Following this, Angel will begin with a presentation where she will introduce the week’s activities and discuss night photography and the challenges it entails. Afterward, we will take a stroll through the village so you can get to know this very pleasant little alpine village. We will then have dinner at the hotel— a great opportunity to get to know each other. (D)
DAY 2 (June 13) – LAC DES GLORIETTES & CIRQUE DE GAVARNIE
Our first morning begins with a sunrise photography session at Lac des Gloriettes. The calm waters of this mountain lake offer fantastic reflections of the surrounding peaks, and you will have plenty of time to experiment with different angles, compositions, and light. Wildflowers are in bloom at this time of year, adding colorful elements to your images. After lunch back at the hotel, we will head to Cirque de Gavarnie for a beautiful hike with incredible views. Here, you will have the opportunity to photograph the towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls in this natural amphitheater, all under the soft afternoon light. We will stop for a sunset picnic as the light turns golden and the landscape shifts in color. If conditions allow, we may return to Lac des Gloriettes for astrophotography in the evening. (B, L, D)
DAY 3 (June 14) – LAC DES ESPÉCIÈRES & LAC DE SUYEN
Our first astro session will take place that night at Col de Tentes, right next to Lac des Espécières where we will photograph the sunrise. The lake is situated in the mountains and offers an excellent spot for capturing serene reflections and the vibrant colors of the Pyrenees. Back at the hotel, we will have some breakfast and relaxed time, before diving into a session given by Angel on composite photography and how to approach the medium. Late in the afternoon, we will head to Lac de Suyen to capture the sunset. This tranquil lake is surrounded by forests and rugged mountain views—ideal for capturing dramatic and peaceful landscapes. We will have a picnic by the lake. (B, L, D)
DAY 4 (June 15) – MAILLET & LAC DE GAUBE
Another very early wake up to go and capture the Milky Way at a much less famous location, yet one of the most beautiful views of the trip, followed by the sunrise there. In the afternoon, we will hike to the stunning Lac de Gaube. The surroundings here look straight out of a postcard, with the lake nestled among high peaks and alpine trees. It’s a beautiful spot to capture various scenes as the sun sets. (B, L, D)
DAY 5 (June 16) – FLEXIBLE & 1-1 PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
This morning is a bit more flexible, depending on the weather and how tired we are after the night photography sessions. Either we go for another astro + sunrise location, or we take it slow. We can also use this morning to return to one of our favorite spots for a replacement sunrise photography session. If we have plenty of photos and feel ready for a more relaxed start, we will stay at the hotel for another editing workshop. After lunch, Angel will be available to take a moment with everyone individually and do a portfolio review + personal Q&A session. We will conclude our day with a farewell dinner back at the hotel, where we will share our favorite moments, photos, and stories before wrapping up a fantastic week together. (B, L, D)
DAY 6 (June 17) – RETURN TRIP
After breakfast, we say our goodbyes and head back to Toulouse airport, ready to go home with new skills, beautiful images, and wonderful memories from the Pyrenees. (B)
