SOLLI KANANI

Solli Kanani is a international photographer specialising in landscape and food photography who has established herself in Paris, the capital of gastronomy. She became a Nikon Europe ambassador in 2023 and is currently an ambassador for BenQ, and her clients include ZEISS, Adobe, and UNESCO, among others.

She has lived and worked in Paris for more than 15 years and also has a photography studio in Italy, dividing her time between the two countries. Born and raised in Lund, Sweden, she studied at KTH in Stockholm, but it was not until she moved to Paris in 2009 that she became interested in photography. It was the magical light of Paris that first inspired her, along with its beautiful architecture, history, gastronomy, and everyday life, that drew her deeper into the world of photography. She travels often, mostly to coastal areas, to find inspiration and take a break from city life. Photographing landscapes — especially long exposures along the coast — is something she particularly enjoys during late autumn and the winter months.

Solli has organised and led a number of workshops in recent years and has also given talks for Nikon, Tether Tools, and NiSi at the annual photography fair in Paris, as well as at The Photography & Video Show in London and Birmingham. Since 2020, she has also run a YouTube channel where she shares food photography tips, and she has delivered several online lectures for Calibrite, DxO, and BenQ. She also took part in ZEISS’s major campaign launch of the Otus ML lenses in 2025, and in May 2026 she was invited by UNESCO to give a lecture on photography, video, and storytelling at the Global MAB Youth Forum in Italy.

Several of her images have been shortlisted in the prestigious World Food Photography Awards. Her work has featured in exhibitions at Paris City Hall and in several of Hahnemühle’s exhibitions, and she has also held a solo exhibition at Nikon Plaza in Paris.

She enjoys sharing her knowledge and her passion for photography. In addition to being a photographer on workshops and tours for Zoom Photo Travel, she is also an instructor at Moderskeppet.

Equipment: Nikon Z7II, Nikon ZR, and various lenses. Her favourite is the Nikon 105 mm macro lens.
