Join me on a spectacular photo expedition to two of the most iconic and wildlife-rich places on Earth – South Georgia and Antarctica. We will experience and photograph an abundance of wildlife in a dramatic landscape

During this journey we will experience dramatic landscapes, vast wildlife colonies, and a natural environment that remains almost untouched. For nature photographers, this is one of the most sought-after destinations in the world.

South Georgia is renowned for its incredible abundance of wildlife. Here we encounter beaches covered with king penguins, often gathered in colonies stretching as far as the eye can see. Among them lie enormous elephant seals and fur seals, while albatrosses and other seabirds glide effortlessly above snow-covered mountains and glaciers in the background. It is a place where the sheer scale of nature is hard to comprehend – and where photographic opportunities are nearly endless.

The journey then continues further south to Antarctica – a continent of ice, mountains, and drifting icebergs in extraordinary shapes and colors. Here we make landings at remote locations where penguins nest, seals rest on ice floes, and whales are often seen in the cold, crystal-clear waters. The landscape is both dramatic and serene at the same time, and the spring light in Antarctica creates fantastic conditions for both landscape and wildlife photography.

We make landings using Zodiac boats to get close to the wildlife and the spectacular landscapes under the guidance of award-winning wildlife photographer Ben Hal. Each day offers new subjects – from playful penguins and impressive seals to towering glaciers and icebergs slowly drifting through the sea.
